THE MATERIAL
This isn't “meteorite-style.” It's meteorite.
Every collection draws from two verified falls: Aletai, a coarse octahedrite iron meteorite recovered from the Xinjiang region of China — one of the largest meteorite strewnfields on Earth — and Sericho, a pallasite recovered in eastern Kenya.
Every piece carries the Widmanstätten pattern — the crystal structure that only forms when molten iron cools for a million years inside an asteroid core. It isn't engraved, and no workshop can fake it; it either grew that way over 4.5 billion years, or it didn't.

Why isn't the meteorite itself numbered?
Your certificate carries its own reference number for our records — what it doesn't do is pretend the meteorite fragment itself is individually serialized. That's not how registration works. The real authority is the registered classification — Bulletin 105 for Aletai, Bulletin 106 for Sericho — and a supply chain we can actually show you, not a number stamped on for effect.

Three checks you can do at home — no lab required
Paperwork is only half of it. Here's what to look for on the metal itself.
The magnet test
Hold a fridge magnet near the meteorite window, not the metal frame. Genuine iron-nickel meteorite shows clear attraction. This alone doesn't prove authenticity — a few earthly metals are magnetic too — but no attraction at all is a red flag.
The pattern, under light
Angle the meteorite face under strong light, ideally with a loupe. You're looking for the Widmanstätten pattern — crossing crystal bands with real depth and irregular spacing. It forms over roughly a million years inside a cooling asteroid core. Flat, uniform, printed-looking texture is the tell of a fake.
No two pieces alike
Because the pattern is natural, not printed, every piece reads slightly differently. If you ever see two "meteorite" pieces with the exact same pattern, that's the fake — not yours.
Full lab identification — acid-etch cross-sections, isotope analysis — exists, but it's destructive and it's what accredited labs are for, not something to try on a piece you're wearing. Want that level of verification? Ask us and we'll point you to the paperwork behind your specific piece.

Is this a real meteorite, not lab-grown or synthetic?
Yes. Every piece is cut from Aletai iron meteorite (Meteoritical Bulletin 105, Xinjiang) or Sericho pallasite (Meteoritical Bulletin 106, Isiolo County, Kenya) — both registered falls, sourced through an IMCA-member, NGTC-certified supplier, not synthetic composites.
Why isn't the meteorite itself individually numbered?
Your certificate has its own reference number for our records, but the meteorite fragment isn't individually serialized — that's not how registration works. The real authority is the classification with the Meteoritical Society, not a number stamped on for effect.
What if I lose my certificate?
Email us your order number and we'll reissue a copy at no charge.
Can I get my piece appraised or insured?
