MATERIAL

The amber-gold flecks across the face are olivine crystals — older than the Earth itself.

Sericho is a pallasite, one of the rarest classes of meteorite: an iron-nickel matrix laced with translucent olivine, formed in the molten core of a destroyed planetary body during the first hundred million years of the solar system. Recovered in 2016 from Habaswein, Kenya.

Pallasites are the class catalogued in 1772 by the German naturalist Peter Simon Pallas. Every pallasite ever found bears his name. This piece is forged from the meteorite this brand is named for.

Classification: Sericho (PMG pallasite, main-group). Location: Habaswein, Garissa County, Kenya. Recovered: 2016. Catalogued in the Meteoritical Bulletin Database.

THE OBJECT

A sultan's blade.

The scimitar was the weapon of command across the Islamic world for over a thousand years — from Ottoman sultans to Mamluk generals to Persian shahs. Heavily ornamented, often inscribed with calligraphy, the curved single-edge was the visible symbol of authority.

The Pallas Scimitar returns to that form. The body is set with authenticated Sericho pallasite (Meteoritical Bulletin entry) — amber-gold flecks of olivine across the curved blade. The crossguard is rendered in gold-toned detail with a single red stone at its centre. The hilt: textured silver against a polished steel body.

The shape of rule. Carried at the chest.

THE CRAFT

One pair of hands. Cut to finish. Never split between artisans, never automated.

Meteoritic iron is three times harder to work than terrestrial steel. The raw slice is shaped, then etched in dilute nitric acid for the precise interval that surfaces the Widmanstätten pattern without softening its edges. Hand-polished, set, finished against a leather wheel. Hours per piece. No two faces are identical — the lattice inside the meteorite never is.

We don't source from suppliers who can't name the meteorite by its registered classification. We don't produce in volumes that compromise the work of the bench.

Slow work. Made by hand. In numbers small enough to remember.

Frequently asked questions

Is the meteorite real?

Every piece is forged from meteorite officially classified and registered in the Meteoritical Bulletin Database — the international scientific registry maintained by the Meteoritical Society. You can verify the classification yourself via the link in the product description above. Each piece ships with a signed numbered Certificate of Authenticity recording the source and classification.

Will it tarnish or oxidise over time?

Each piece is treated to resist rust under normal wear. The meteorite itself is iron though, so we recommend keeping it dry — off before swimming, a quick wipe if it gets wet. That preserves the Widmanstätten pattern sharp over time. Natural patina over years is part of the material's character and isn't a defect.

What if I don't like it when it arrives?

Return it within 30 days for a full refund. The piece must be unworn and in its original packaging with the certificate. Email us and we'll send return instructions. Refund processed within 10 business days of inspection.

When will it arrive?

Orders dispatch within 1-3 business days of confirmation. UK delivery: 3-5 business days from dispatch. International (US, EU, RoW): 4-6 business days. Every piece ships signed and fully insured. A tracking link is sent the moment your piece is dispatched.

Can I wear it every day?

Yes, it's designed for everyday wear. The cable chain is set heavier than standard so it sits well under or over a shirt. Keep it dry where possible — off before swimming, a quick wipe after the shower — and the piece will hold its character indefinitely. We recommend storing it in the case when not worn.
